BIOGRAPHY

Jason Simmons the founder and creator of Vocal Paint has been singing from a young age of 6 years old.  He was deeply inspired by artist such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and George Michael at an early age.  It was in high school he decided to pursue his professional career in music. He began by honing his skills in R&B Vocal A Capella groups arranging and performing which later grew into other aspects within music like writing and producing. Jason created Vocal Paint as a way of preserving the beautiful art form of A Capella Music and promoting the creative experimentation of the human voice.

In the beginning of 2011 Jason released through Inner Light Entertainment the first CD in the Vocal Paint series "My Butterfly/A Capella Lullabies" which in 2012 received a Juno nomination for "Children's Album of the Year". Since then "My Butterfly" has made it's way into all the Public Libraries in Toronto and soon will be in libraries across Canada.

It was only fitting that first CD in the Vocal Paint Series be a Lullaby CD as it displays the healing effects of the human voice as it Lulls and settles young minds into a restful sleep. Jason is a father of three young minds and this first CD in the Vocal Paint series is a dedication to them.
